I just want to thank everyone who makes volleyball schedules. It's tough work but the results are amazing for us fans!

In just their second year, the St. Thomas Aquinas Spartans earned their first ever win over a Division-I team. That, in and of itself, is worth celebrating. But, I want to be clear, this was a quality win. Coming into this match, Long Island was 8-2, including a win over Princeton. This is exactly the type of win that the ECC can use to show the volleyball world that they mean business. We really shouldn’t be too surprised that STAC pulled this off though, as they are the defending ECC champions and they have their eye on another.

You stated that correctly about STAC. They are a tough out and they will start to garner the attention of their opponents. You may not be able to get away with playing your bench against some of these newer programs any longer as supply as jumped demand. There are more and more quality athletes around to play at this level.
