Eight of nine conference are in action today in a very busy Friday.
While there are still some non-conference matches, we are now fully in conference season. The Big West was the last holdout to start their conference matches but that changes today. Right now, the AVCA ranking has 3 Big West teams in the top 5, so get ready for some high-quality volleyball.
Three Intriguing Matches
UCSB at UCSD - The first Big West match of the year and VBelo has it as a 50/50 match! The Gauchos have some big wins and some big losses this year. The Tritons have a very young team but have home court advantage. If I had to pick, I would lean towards UCSB and the reliable arm of Geste Bianchi.
St. Thomas Aquinas at Dominican - Two first-year teams in a first-year conference. From a data standpoint, I am excited to get more data on both programs. This is what growing the game looks like, and I am here for it.
The MPSF - The entire conference. The potential for chaos is sky-high because these teams are just incredibly good at volleyball. Will BYU’s home court be enough? Will Grand Canyon stay undefeated? Will Stanford be at full strength? This conference has everything!
