With their victory yesterday, Edward Waters now sits in first place in the SIAC. Sure, there has only been a total of 1 SIAC match this season, but nevertheless, the Tigers proudly sit on top. Over in the NEC, Daemen continues their dominance moving to 4-0 in conference play and are now on an 8-match win streak. Personally, I am thrilled for the day when the NEC & the SIAC get automatic bids to the national tournament and they bust some brackets. Men’s Volleyball deserves that kind of tournament.
For the first time this season (but definitely not the last), we have conference matchups in all 8 conferences! This weekend (I’m counting today as the weekend), there are over 45 matches. With so much conference action going on, almost every game is consequential for these teams. Here are 4 matches that I will be keeping an eye on today:
Grand Canyon at Pepperdine: Part 2 - The first part was excellent and who doesn’t love watching an undefeated team at this point in the season.
Charleston at George Mason - The (undefeated) Cinderella story of the season. Why wouldn’t you want to watch this?
CSUN at UCSD - The first match in the Big West!
Merrimack at Fairleigh Dickinson - This NEC match is the closest VBelo match of the day at 51/49.
