Championship Saturday
Today is the day! Hopes and dreams for several teams are hanging in the balance during these conference championships. Not only are these matches the only path to the national tournament for most of these teams, but seeding for the national tournament is on the line. Saying the stakes are high is an understatement.
There is a lot that could be said about each of these matchups, but luckily for you, Off the Block has put out a Championship Saturday Preview video that features yours truly (on the bottom left for most of the video.) There is some really great stuff in there so if you are looking for a deep dive into what is happening today and what it could mean, I highly recommend it.
The last thing I will say is that this time of year is easy to focus on things like tournament formats, the number of at large teams, and the selection committee process. However, the number one thing that Men’s Volleyball needs for growth is the support of its fans. So go watch some matches, send some tweets, and tell all your friends about the joys of NCAA Men’s Volleyball.
