With their win yesterday, North Greenville clinched the regular season title in the Conference Carolinas. They automatically advance to the semifinals on April 21st at King University. For everyone trying to remember the details of the different tournaments, I got you covered. For the Conference Carolinas, all 8 teams make the tournament. Seeds 1 and 2 getting a bye to the semifinals and seeds 3 and 4 getting byes to the quarterfinals. The First Round and Quarter Finals are played at the higher seed and King University will host the remaining 3 matches.
In other tournament news, Loyola can lock up the top spot in the MIVA with a win today. The Ramblers have positioned themselves incredibly well for a good postseason run. After today, all 8 MIVA teams will have just one match left. It will be interesting to see what drama the MIVA will be able to cook up for us. It has been a fantastic conference this season and my only complaint is that the season is coming to an end.
In looking through the projections for today, there was one match that really caught my eye. Morehouse has the slightest edge over Kentucky State. This is surprising to me as Morehouse is still looking for their first win of the season. A win for Morehouse would be huge. In their meeting earlier this season, Morehouse was able to break the 20-point mark but was still swept by Kentucky State.
