VBelo Daily: January 27, 2025
Long Beach survives in the Waves and we got one of the wildest stat lines of the year. Just one match for today, but at least we have volleyball.

Yesterday's Scores
Sunday was all about offense! Long Beach, the number one team in the country, was the only winning team to hit below .400%! The end of the weekend can be slow, but not this weekend! But I’m also not complaining that we only have one match today.
Non-conference
#18 Princeton (67%) def. Queens (33%)
3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-20)
Princeton’s attack was nearly unstoppable! After seeing Mason, Ryan, and Nyherowo play earlier this month, I am not surprised at all. EIVA look out!
Long Island (94%) def. Edward Waters (6%)
3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-19)
Lindenwood (83%) def. Charleston (17%)
3-0 (25-20, 25-14, 25-12)
#1 Long Beach (89%) def. #11 Pepperdine (11%)
3-2 (25-14, 24-26, 18-25, 25-17, 15-7)
This sounds crazy to say, but I don’t think people are paying enough attention to Moni Nikolov. The freshman Setter had an unreal stat line in the 5-set win.
I have no idea if a quintuple-double has ever been done before, but Nikolov is knocking on the door.
Today's Match Projections
Non-conference
Brescia (7%) vs Maryville (93%)
For those unfamiliar (like me before today), Brescia University is an NAIA program out of Kentucky. Last season, the Bearcats finished 6-19.
