Having TMZ, Barstool, and NPR all talking about a men's volleyballer has to be some sort of historic trifecta. It's too bad CSUN was playing late night at Hawaii, but hopefully some of that attention can last until the Big West Tournament. A first-round rematch with UCI would be incredibly rich, too.
I talked with Jordan and Coach Theo Edwards about it last night a little. The positive response has been incredible. I have never seen home fans bring out signs supporting an opposing player before.
Hawaii fans admire spirit and grit, and Jordan has a lot of both. Hopefully, we see more of that support next week. CSUN needs to ramp up their social media game and capitalize. The data would suggest there are tons of potential LGBTQ fans worth reaching.
This is what fans around the US can love. EIVA is surely not easy not straightforward. The NEC may still have a way Daemen making the tournament. The IVA is just the rise of Catawba & Ferguson who once coached a title match years ago at SC. 1 vs 2 for all the marbles in the SIAC. Carolina on your mind with a final four worthy of praise. Thr GLVC may have three top 30 teams on the RPI scale when all said and done. The MPSF and BIg West are literally playing for HUGE stakes as every match will be exciting and make the committee stand and take notice. The MIVA is just messy and just about anything can happen.
