VBelo Daily: April 14, 2026
Back-to-back rest days. Don't worry, we will make it through.
Number of the Day
5.28 - As we near the end of the season, let’s take a look at some wildly impressive numbers. Cole Hartke (Pepperdine) is a machine. There is no way around it. He is currently averaging 5.28 kills per set. He is the only player in the country with more than 5. The last time we had just one player above the 5 kills per set mark was 2016, a decade ago. Why is this happening? My theory is parity (because of course it is.) More teams are fielding better players so sets get distributed and teams are forced to adjust. Hartke will almost certainly lead the nation in kills per set at the end of the season, and let me just say, it has been a joy to watch.
Yesterday’s Scores
Nothing. Mondays. Sometimes they are extra sad.
Today’s Match Projections
Two days in a row without matches??? Don’t worry, this weekend will more than make up for it.
