Number of the Day
142 - The model only focuses on National Collegiate teams. That is just NCAA-speak for D-I and D-II. This is not because D-III is not amazing and thriving, just the opposite. The truth is D-III has a robust landscape of men’s volleyball and the manual method of score verification just isn’t scalable for the current model. This season, NCAA Division III Men’s Volleyball fielded 142 teams. This is 6 more than last year and there are another handful of teams that plan to add programs next year. One of those brand new programs is playing today, Wheaton (MA). Growing the game takes all levels, from kiddos to pros.
