Number of the Day
0 - We made it all the way to April with an undefeated team, but no longer. Pepperdine defeated UCLA in Malibu 3-2 and now there are 0 undefeated teams. This may feel like a major upset, but I would say it was fairly unlikely. Pepperdine had a 31% chance of winning this match. Here is a fun example: the earth is about 30% land and 70% water. If you picked a random spot on the globe and it was land, that would happen about as much as Pepperdine defeating UCLA yesterday. In terms of VBelo, Pepperdine and UCLA exchanged 17 elo points, which is not a huge amount. The rematch on Saturday should be great, but first, we get VBelo #2 (Hawaii) and #4 (UC Irvine), with the Anteaters getting the edge because of home court and travel. April volleyball!

Moving day in the MIVA. Will NKU in their 1st season make the playoffs. Well PFW can help their cause and NKU today in Charlotte. With many else on Irvine, the EIVA holds some intrigue as SHU and Princeton are also playing for their playoff lives.
Interesting times as we March into April.
