Long Beach Survives in Five
The Gauchos put up a fight but fell just short of a huge Big West upset.
In the lone Big West match of the day, Long Beach went back and forth with UCSB. Ultimately, the Beach prevailed in the fifth set 15-13. With that win, Long Beach is now 12-0 at home this season. They are also one of two teams to only have one loss on the season (at UCLA).
The other team with only one loss is Hawaii. The Rainbow Warriors will be in action for the finale of the Outrigger Invitational today. If they defeat UC Irvine, Hawaii will claim their 11th Outrigger title in team history. If UC Irvine wins the Outrigger, it will be their second in three total appearances at the tournament. The Outrigger has been nothing short of amazing so I am expecting big things again today.

LMU took a bad loss which will hurt their at large berth chances. Conversly, Stanford may have resuscitated their chances. The non conference madness continues in Hawaii and Los Angeles. What a great weekend of volleyball.
