It's Never Too Early
There is a decent chance that two of the teams playing tonight will find themselves in the National Championship in May. In the SIAC, Fort Valley State is atop the conference at 6-0. In the young history of the SIAC, this is the best Fort Valley has looked. They still have to get past the formidable defending SIAC champs, Edward Waters. Right now, they are looking focused on putting together a winning season.
Over in the Conference Carolinas, Belmont Abbey is within striking distance of winning the regular season conference title. This would be the first title in program history. Right behind them, North Greenville wants to return to Nationals and provide another shocker in Long Beach. I could easily see either of these teams getting their golden ticket for May. Tonight, we get to see them both!
