Easing into Week 2
Welcome to the seventh straight day of Men's Volleyball in 2024. The beginning of the week is a little quiet, but we still have great matchups on the schedule.
Sundays and Mondays are usually the slowest days for Men's Volleyball (and so my coverage is a little lighter). This is one of the few Sunday/Monday combos where there are matches on both days. Most teams have yet to start their season, so this week, we will get our first look at several programs getting their 2024 campaigns started.
I was a little worried that yesterday's newsletter about the MPSF would jinx Stanford. It turns out the MPSF is impervious to media curses. Stanford was able to handle Loyola, but it is worth noting this was a different squad than the Hawaii-defeating Ramblers of Friday. Coach Hawks rested his opening-series squad and the Cardinal were able to make relatively quick work of their first match. It will be interesting to see who gets the start in today's rematch.
