The Conference Carolinas kicks off their tournament today. So, let’s take a look at the VBelo projections.
After an impressive regular season, Belmont Abbey has almost a 50% chance of winning the tournament before any matches have been played. Last season, VBelo gave Belmont Abbey just an 8% chance of winning the conference tournament. So much can change in just one year!
North Greenville are the most likely to dethrone Belmont this year. It definitely helps that both of these teams have byes to the semifinals. This season is less balanced than in years past, but I think that is because some teams have risen above the rest. I’m very excited for the finals.
