Another Unbeaten Falls at Home
With CSUN defeating Stanford, we are left with only three undefeated teams in the country: Grand Canyon, Long Beach, and D'Youville.
CSUN may be 6-4 this season, but looks can be deceiving. Those four losses? All from ranked opponents. Not to mention, two of those wins are ranked opponents. This sure doesn't look like a team that tied for last in their conference preseason poll. CSUN is a dangerous team in large part because teams will underestimate them. Keep an eye on the Matadors as they look to play spoiler to some of the big names in the Big West.
The VBelo model gave CSUN just 10% of winning as the away team. If that wasn't enough, we also had a team with a 14% chance get the win. That team was Purdue Fort Wayne over the EIVA powerhouse Penn State. This match went all the way to 5 and some extra points before the Mastodons clinched their first win over a ranked team this season. Their last ranked win came late last season against a very good Loyola program. Purdue Fort Wayne is playing a similar role to CSUN right now. They are often underestimated and can get in there with a sneaky upset.
The real question for both CSUN and Purdue Fort Wayne is how long can they sneak under the radar. I don't think they can much longer. What team do you think are underestimated right now and are ready to make a big splash with an upset?

Don't sleep on NJIT....some strong early season performances.
I stepped away briefly when PSU was up 24-17 in the 4th and thought I had lost my mind when they were still playing 5 minutes later. Epic comeback by PFW.
Any idea whether Stanford was resting anybody ahead of the short turnaround to UH?
